A Generalized Exponential Ratio-Cum-Product Type Estimator for Estimating Population Mean using Two Auxiliary Variables

Abstract
In this paper, we have suggested a generalized exponential ratio-cum-product type estimator based on two
auxiliary variables for estimating the finite population mean. The proposed estimator is shown to possess
desirable statistical properties under the first-order approximation. Expressions for the bias and mean square
error (MSE) of the generalized exponential estimator are derived up to the first order of approximation. To
assess the validity of the theoretical results, an empirical study using two real data sets is conducted,
demonstrating the improved efficiency of the proposed estimator.
