A Quadratic Type Estimator of Population Mean on Multi Occasions Using General Sampling Scheme

Abstract
This paper deals with a quadratic type estimator of population mean on multi occasions based on samples selected over current and previous occasions using general sampling scheme provided quadratic relationship between study and auxiliary variables exists. Properties of proposed estimator have been discussed and it is established that the proposed estimator is more efficient than usual estimators for optimal choice of constants involved with the estimator. An optimum replacement policy for proposed estimator has been studied. Numerical illustrations have been cited to support the theoretical results.
