Behavioral Study of Manure System in Sugar Industry by Using Supplementary Variable Technique
M.S Kadyan , M.S Kadyan, Ramesh
Abstract

This paper discusses the behavioral analysis of a manure system in the sugar industrythat having three subsystems - mixture, rotary vacuum filter and vibro screen. These subsystemsare arranged in series. Both the sub-systems „mixture‟ and „vibro screen' having single unitwhereas, sub-system „rotary vacuum filter‟ consists three identical units that are working inparallel. The time to failure of the sub-systems follows negative exponential distribution whilerepair time distribution is taken as arbitrary. The manure system is analyzed by usingsupplementary variable technique. A particular case is also considered to show the behavior of
availability and expected profit of the manure system in the sugar industry. The results aresupplied to the plant personal for improvement in planning the process for minimum failure.
