Chain Type Estimators for Population Mean using the Information on Auxiliary Variable and Auxiliary Attribute in Sample
Kamlesh Kumar , Sunit Kumar
Abstract
In this paper, chain type estimators for population mean using the information on auxiliary variable and auxiliary attribute in sample surveys, have been proposed. The relative bias and mean square error of the proposed estimators are obtained up to the first order of approximation. Some special cases of the proposed estimators are given. The conditions, under which the proposed estimators are more efficient in comparison to the earlier estimators, are obtained. An empirical study has been done to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed estimators.
