Correlation Coefficient Measure of Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets with its Application

Abstract
Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets (IFSs) have been considered more versatile and practical than the classical fuzzy sets for dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty. In this paper, an effective correlation coefficient between IFSs is proposed and the range of the proposed correlation coefficient is defined over closed interval [-1, 1]. Some basic definitions for covariance, deviation and variance for the IFSs are given for computational purpose of the correlation between the IFSs. Further, some properties of the proposed correlation coefficient measure are also discussed. The comparison of this measure has been done with some existing correlation coefficient measures. The application of proposed measure is also described in the field of medical science.
