Enhanced Generalized Class of Exponential Estimators for Estimating the Population Mean in the Case of Non-Response
Zakir Hussain Wani , S.E.H. Rizvi
Abstract
In this paper, a family of exponential type estimators has been developed for estimating the population mean in presence of non-response. Two cases have been studied, case I: when the non-response occurs on both the study variable Y and the auxiliary variable X, the population mean  of the auxiliary variable is known and the case II is when the non-response occurs on the study variable Y, information on the auxiliary variable X is obtained from all the sample units, and the population mean of the auxiliary variable x is known. The bias and mean square error of proposed estimators is obtained up to first order of approximation. The proposed estimators is compared with the other existing estimators theoretically and empirically to validate the efficiency of the proposed estimators over existing estimators.
