Estimation of Population Mean Using Multi Auxiliary Information in Stratified Successive Sampling Using Regression Estimator

Abstract

Here, regression approach is used for estimating mean in the stratified sampling on successive occasions. The characteristic variable under study is linked with two or more auxiliary variables. The expression for optimum vector has been derived in case when two auxiliary variables are available. And, also the expression for gain in efficiency of the combined estimate over the direct estimate when no auxiliary variable is available has been derived. Finally, the result has been obtained in case of the availability of multi auxiliary variables.
