Abstract

The proportion, measurement, dividing, multiple are the mathematical terms which are also been applied in art making at the learning stage as well as professional level in the field of Fine Arts. In the field of view, the learner may apply it in art like portrait, life study and landscape painting. The function of proportion is to make any one a measure for another part of the form. The mathematical measurements are applied to portrait painting with the relation to the one supposed unit of the figure. Geometry and arithmetic were with the painters of antiquity of such importance that without them art could not be perfected.
