Improved Exponential Product Type Estimator of Variance of Post Stratified Sample Mean Using Auxiliary Variable
S. E. H. Rizvi , Manish Kr. Sharma
Abstract
In this study, we develop the estimator for finite population variance of post-stratified sample mean using knowledge from an auxiliary variable. For the proposed estimator up to the first order of approximation, expressions for bias and mean square error (MSE) are derived. This also revealed the constant's ideal value, which reduces the MSE of the developed estimator. The suggested estimator performs better than other considered estimators, according to theoretical and empirical research that have been concluded.
