Modified Ratio-Type Estimators Using Partitioned and Double partitioned Ranked Set Sampling
K. B. Panda , M. Samantaray
Abstract
In this paper, we propose new ratio-type estimators based on Partitioned Ranked Set Sampling (PRSS) and Double Partitioned Ranked Set Sampling (DPRSS) techniques using population correlation coefficient between the study variable and auxiliary variable. We prove theoretically that the proposed estimators are more efficient than its competing estimator. The bias and mean square error of suggested estimators are obtained up to first degree of approximation. The superiority of the proposed estimators has been demonstrated through a simulation study.
