On Estimation of Finite Population Mean Using Information on Auxiliary Attribute in Sample Surveys
Abstract
In this paper, we have proposed several estimators for estimating finite population mean considering arithmetic mean, geometric mean and harmonic mean of the existing estimators. The expressions for the bias and the mean squared error of the proposed estimators are obtained under first order of approximation. Empirical studies are considered to assess the performance of the proposed estimators vis-a-vis the competing estimators.
