On Some Distributional Properties and Characterizations of SSK Product Distribution of Gamma and Rayleigh Densities with Lifetime Data Applications
Abstract
Gamma and Rayleigh distributions arise in many problems of applied and physical sciences. In this paper, for the first time, we present several new characteristics, distributional properties and characterizations of the Shakil- Singh-Kibria product distribution of Gamma and Rayleigh densities (SSK-PGR) distribution. We noticed that the SSK-PGR distribution carries most of the properties of right skewed distributions. For illustration purposes, we provided some applications to some real-world lifetime datasets. It is observed that the Shakil-Singh-Kibria product distribution of Gamma and Rayleigh densities (SSK-PGR) distribution fits reasonably well to the datasets considered.
