Orthogonal Blocks of Two and Three Mixture Component Amount Blends via Projections ofF-Squares Based Design

Abstract

In many practical problems of mixture experiments, for example, in alloys and clinical drug trials, not only are the proportions of the ingredients important, but also their total amount is vital. In this paper, we have considered mixture amount experiments (the response depends on the total amount) and obtained D-, A- and E-optimality by projecting the class of four component mixture designsin orthogonal blocks of two and three mixture component-amount blends based on F-squares for additive quadratic mixture amount model discussed by Husain and Hafeez (2019).
