Product Type Estimator on Average Values of the Networks in Adaptive Cluster Sampling
Abstract
In this paper, a product type estimator is proposed utilizing the auxiliary variables based on average values of the networks in adaptive cluster sampling. The expression for the mean square error of the proposed estimator has been derived. The proposed estimator will be used for estimating the finite population mean when there is negative correlation between study and auxiliary variable and is comparable with the exiting estimators. The empirical study has been carried out to demonstrate and compare the efficiency of the proposed estimator. On the basis of percentage relative efficiency it is shown that the proposed estimator is more efficient as compared to other estimators in conventional and adaptive cluster sampling methods.
