Reliability Modeling of a Gas Turbine System under Humidity Effect using Random Inspection by a Single Server
Abstract
In this paper, we analyze how different humid conditions affect various reliability measures in a gas turbine power generation system that consists of one gas turbine and one steam turbine. In order to improve the performance of system, we use a novel combined inspection and preventive maintenance policy that makes use of inspection-derived condition. Under certain assumptions, a model of the system is developed using the well- known semi-Markov process and regeneration point technique. Various performance measures, including mean time to system failure and availability, were analysed and discussed graphically with regard to the data collected from a gas turbine power plant operating in Delhi, India.
