Variable Limits and Control Charts Based on Exponentiated InvertedWeibull Distribution
Abstract
The Exponentiated Inverted Weibull Distribution is a well-known model for guiding a variable quality
parameter. The control limits for the appropriate control charts are based on the percentiles of sample statistics
like mean, median, midrange, and range that have been examined. The acceptability and power of the 'Control
Limits' are compared to those based on the commonly used Shewhart control limits. Simulation is used to
determine and compare the coverage probability in both methodologies.
